How a hill overlooking the Great Zab River became the starting point for Kurdistan's next generation of F&B brands.
Banzab is a holding company building the future of food and beverage in Kurdistan. We focus on genuine brands that bring change and quality to the market, not shortcuts, not trends, but products and experiences built to last.
Founded in 2018, Banzab started with a simple idea: to challenge the norm and create brands that are different, forward thinking, and authentic.
The name Banzab reflects both our roots and our vision. Ban means "top" or "over," and Zab comes from the Great Zab River near the founder's village on the outskirts of Erbil. From a hill overlooking the river, the journey of Banzab began, driven by the ambition to rise above and build brands that last.

Banzab founded. Smoothie Season opens its first branch in Erbil, bringing fresh, high-quality smoothies and juices to Kurdistan for the first time.
Rapid expansion across Erbil. Smoothie Season grows to 6 branches, establishing itself as the city's leading smoothie and juice brand.
Pyarra launches — a new line of healthy snacks filling a gap in Kurdistan's market. Smoothie Season's flagship dine-in location begins development at Erbil Avenue.
Continued expansion, new product lines, and a growing portfolio of brands that raise the bar for F&B in the region.
